A great pleasure to be one of the volunteers of the Joint CIVAC of the KAYANG-KAYANG MISSIONS INTERNATIONAL, INC. & THE 47TH INFANTRY(KATAPATAN) BATTALION, 3ID in Brgy. Aglupacan, Tapaz, Capiz. It isn't my first time of joining the CIVAC, yet everytime I join it ends up to a great and fruitful experience.
The first time I join the CIVAC ,it was held at Brgy. Agbatuan, Dumarao, Capiz. It was my first time to travel on such , remote area that far away from what I expect. If my brother is a military man of the Air Force and the other is a policeman I never fully understand the significance of their lives and their work as a public servant.I used to ride in the military truck,just listening to the military volunteers story about how they work with the KK Team but without deeper knowledge and idea with the danger and risks they had been to the far flung places just to extend help to those who are in need and the sick person.
The second time was here, exactly here in Brgy. Aglupacan, Tapaz, Capiz. Speaking of experience?....Wow...I consider this as my most exciting and one of the most thrilling moment I ever experienced. Riding in a helicopter for the first time... wow...breath taking! What a precious experience( A dream come true as I wishes it for a long time.)The beautiful mountain peak, planes , green forest you are enjoying to see, amazes me so much but I could never imagine that there are still people living there in that far flung , remote place of Tapaz, Capiz. I salute the people for the simplicity of life they are enjoying , without electricity,without modern facilities we are enjoying in the lowlands and in the city,and they don't even have one toilet bowl in the community yet their happy!I realized that the Army ,our military men are not just simply soldiers of the country who takes care of our peace and order but they were GREAT HEROES! We saw how they sacrifice their happiness together from their family and loveones, fully seen their deprivation on top of the mountains away from civilization , mingling with the under privilege and the uneducated folks yet through their eyes we could see HOPE for these people group because of their determination and courage to be of HELP and CHANNEL of BLESSINGS to those who are in need.
Also I admire the KAYANG-KAYANG MISSION TEAM volunteers, I never ever imagined that their are people with the golden heart , willing to take the risks and wholeheartedly extend their best to the poor and needy . As I see them serving with joy and gladness in their hearts I was also moved and influenced by their sincerity of working for the cause of people in need. They sacrificially leave their job for the day without counting its costs just to help.We were so blessed to work with them and the armies too. What a teamwork ! starting to work with BIG SMILE in their faces and finished it with the same smile, UNTIRINGLY SERVING ...touching people's lives!Thank you so much for allowing us to experience a very "HEART WARMING MISSION"yes, The IMPOSSIBLE becomes POSSIBLE because their are people like you who truly cares for the needy and poor.
Thanks to you, I've learned a lot...
May I'll be one of you someday...
May I could help enough of my ability someday...

A heartfelt thanks for making me realize that there are still things to be done , as I take part to What God has planned. KK was proud to have Nanay Neri Dela Cruz Punsalan Villegas as one of the GENERALS of FAITH , Intercessor, Supporter and partners in the KK's work both Locally(Philippines) and International work (ASIA: Cambodia,Thailand, Myanmar, Burma, Indonesia, Vietnam, USA: Los Angeles , California EUROPE: Vienna, Germany , Moscow, London & Spain)

She was bedridden for 10 years due to her severe Rheumatoid Arthritis which caused her bone marrow problem. After series of operation from Gal Stone then removal of her left kidney enable our Nanay Neri to walk and just be contented in her WHEEL CHAIR and friendly BED.
Her situation never hinder her for doing her part as member of the Kayang-Kayang Team. She volunteer as one of our POWER HOUSE Intercessor.Tatay was always been a joy and support for Nanay Neri. Tatay , JESUS DIGNADICE VILLEGAS SR. was having his Cirrosis of the Liver(Liver Cancer) for almost 11 years also. He was operated by his left leg fractured and on his own Wheel Chair too but still he can slowly walk inside and even outside our house to maintain his compossure and health. Both of them were our secret while we have the compassion for those who are sick and disabled ministering to the far flung barangays who need our help. These are the reasons why the upland people do not know how we children sacrificially rendered our best to extend simple helps because we fully understand how they felt inwant being poor and needy and even could not afford to buy medicines for the patients.

Nanay , aside from serving the Kayang-kayang was able to send poor patients to the hospitals out from 10 years on bed and send even scholars to college. One of her scholar was "MELCHOR JALOSJOS" whom she advised to ask help to be recognized by his political father through the "BOMBO RADIO"Philippines.

She was generous in nature. We will always remember her principles on quality work and compassion for the poor and needy.
Her inspirations and words of wisdom we will forever TREASURED. Nanay's HEART was to help the work at the UPLAND TAPAZ, CAPIZ paying forward her parents came from one of the upland during the spanish time.

We were really BLESSED to hear her last blessings to the UPLAND PEOPLE of TAPAZ, Blessing the MILITARY troups and the Leadership, those who help the Team in bringing GOOD NEWS of LOVE & PEACE to all men. She will always remind us "WE DON'T NEED TO BE RICH TO HELP OTHERS" Never ever turn your back for those who truly needs a hand!

For those who SHARED those treasured moments with our Beloved Nanay while she lived we say, THANK YOU for BLESSING her life with joys and laughters . We will be missing her temporarily but she will have a full time work serving us til the Lord comes. May her life encourage us to pursue doing our BEST to the LORD's WORK , ALL FOR the GLORY of GOD. Amen!

She is one of the POWER HOUSE intercessor volunteer for Kayang-Kayang. Her influence in PRAYERS and INTERCESSION were the secret of the success of the Upland Work of TAPAZ, CAPIZ and much more International volunteer works of Kayang-Kayang.

Her LEGACY of FAITH will always remain an inspiration to all volunteers and especially the core group . She remains FAITHFUL doing her part as an intercessor til her last breath!

Thank God for giving us the opportunity to REACH those who are not given the privilege to Study and even go to school. This is their opportunity to learn how to READ and WRITE for FREE EDUCATION. The KK & 47th IB will soon open the Community Learning Resource Center at Brgy. MASAROY, Calinog.
The building is now under construction. It is our HEART'S DESIRE to bring "Quality Education" to the mountain folks. The opening of this LIBRARY will help the community fulfill their dreams to be educated and enjoy learning with their children too.
KK would like to THANK ALL donors and sponsors for ALL BOOKS, EDUCATIONAL TOYS, FARMING TOOLS and MACHINES for LIVELIHOOD. Our Center is open for any help you could extend to these community.

The ALLEGORY OF MAKING A DIFFERENCE

A man is walking along a beach were thousands of starfishes had been washed ashore!
He noticed a boy picking the starfishes one by one and throwing them back to the sea.The man observed the boy for awhile and then asked what he was doing...the boy replied, " Am throwing them back to the sea or else they'll die!" but you can't possibly save them all... There are thousands of this beach and this must be happening on hundreds of beaches! You can't make possibly a difference! The boy smiled , bent down and picked another starfish and threw it back to the sea and said: I MADE A DIFFERENCE TO THAT ONE!

It was been more than a half year for us "KAYANG-KAYANG" Volunteers who get out from our comfort zone just to respond and make a " LITTLE RIPPLE OF CHANGE" in the lives of our poor, needy , indigenous people group of the far flung barangays of Tapaz, Capiz and Calinog Upland areas.

Our GREAT THANKS to the 47th IB and Constituents who shared with us the joy of serving these group, promoting peaceful and progressive living, enhancing skills and helping those few who could not even write and read by putting up Community Learning Resource Center in the Tribal boarder.
To the MILITARY FRONTLINERS, we SALUTE you for all the hardships and self sacrifices just to prepare every target places covered by our FREE MEDICAL MISSIONS as we are reaching Barangay Educators in their respective Pre-School & Primary Schools too.
"HELP" for the "TRULY IN NEED"will not be possible without you.

Every person who decided for CHANGE and RECONCILE himself/herself to the government is really a "SPARK OF MAKING DIFFERENCE".
The holistic approached of the 47th IB for the insurgency campaign like CIVAC, JOINT MEDICAL MISSIONS, INFORMATION DISSIMINATION, ETC. give an extra mile in reaching the less fortunate people of the far flung barangays which are too far away from the help even with the local government unit.

We , "KAYANG-KAYANG"as a NON -GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATION had seen and experienced the JOY of serving without counting the cost amidst danger to let the people know that "THEY ARE LOVED and HEARED by GOD". Give PEACE a CHANCE and ENJOY FREEDOM to the fullest. We could not expect others to give it unless you CHOSE it yourself. LIFE is PRECIOUS!
If you want to be BLESSED, start to be thankful even in simple things.

To the SOLDIERS, you are MORE BLESSED as PEACEMAKERS. Romans 5:9 says"BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED CHILDREN OF GOD".
When you feel nobody noticed your commitment and dedication to work, you are wrong because the "THE RIPPLE of CHANGE" had just started.
Keep up the good job it's WORTH rewarding to attain PEACE in people's HEART.
